homemade tattoo stencil solution | Chin Up Chinplants On The Rise

,

homemade tattoo stencil solution

The latest statistics from the American Society of Plastic Surgery showed that while breast implants, Botox and liposuction are still the number one requested procedures, there has been a surprising upsurge in a new trend : chin implants for a stronger, shapelier chin.

Seen in profile, the facial features of a person with a more prominent chin tends to be more pleasant, and can slim the appearance of the face. In the male face the small chin is also seen as being weak and less commanding.

Experts say that the boom of camera phones and video chatting could have contributed to this marked increase in chin augmentation, making people notice their faces and their profiles more.

Chin surgery is a very quick and minor operation, and if done by fillers, is a very painless and cost effective way to change the overall shape and look of your face. With a stronger chin, the face tends to look younger, better defined and the neck profile is also improved.

diy tattoo autoclave | Up Periscope! A New App with Potential Law Enforcement Uses

,

diy tattoo autoclave

Periscope, a mobile app that allows users to live-broadcast video from anywhere in the world at any time, has been hailed by the technology and entertainment industries, citizen broadcasters and even politicians, now Law Enforcement is getting into the act.

What is Periscope?
The app, developed by two friends Kayvon Beykpour and Joseph Bernstein, and was purchased by Twitter in March of 2015 for $100 million . The duo  had the idea in 2013 when trying to decide whether they should visit Taksim Square in Istanbul after reports of riots. They wanted to be able to see what was going on in places in real time, through the eyes of people who were there. According to sources within the first ten days of the release of the iPhone launch the gained over a millions users. After the May release of the Android version, it gained millions more.

So what does it do?
Periscope allows uses to live-stream video from their mobile phones, and can be used in conjunction
with Twitter, enabling other users to see links tweeted in order to view live-streams.

Although it is not the only live-streaming app. Many early attempts have fallen by the wayside, and another similar service called Meerkat, was also launched earlier this year.  However Twitter cut off Meerkats access to its social media site, when it acquired Periscope.

Periscope offers  users the option to let anyone play back the video stream. Which has some tremendous opportunities for Law Enforcement, Emergency Management Agencies and Non-Governmental Organizations, for example:

Australia, @WA_Police

  • In Australia, NSW Police used Periscope last week to broadcast a live press conference on then missing Coogee woman Jessica Bialek.

The case was a "perfect opportunity" to try out the new technology, NSW police director of public affairs Strath Gordon said.

"What weve found is that people often engage with our social media pages when they feel they can contribute," Mr Gordon said, adding that police Facebook and Twitter pages tend to see a spike in followers when  prominent people go missing.

"Periscope is just another way of widening that audience and giving people a chance to assist and keep up with the facts."

Bengaluru, India. @blrctypolice

  • That scenario might soon be reality thanks to an idea that’s currently being proposed for the Indian city of Bengaluru (formerly Bangalore). Inspired by the use of Periscope at a recent conference, the city’s police commissioner MN Reddi—who has emerged as a social media star with over 290,000 followers on Twitter—proposed that citizens should report and record crimes using the live-streaming app as part of a new strategy for “community policing.”
Boca Raton, Florida @bocapolice

In the area of Crisis Communication, the public can get real-time updates and information instead of reading about it in a Facebook Post or Tweet.

The app is currently available both from the ITunes Store and the Playstore.

diy tattoo supply | From T Bone Letter 33

,

diy tattoo supply

T-Bone is a massively-built spiritual ex-Marine, who uses fighting skills to stop prison rape. T-Bone’s latest letter:

Would you believe a guard read about me at Jon’s Jail Journal! The guard turned the other way while I dealt with the guys who were out to hurt me. I went right in and hit the smallest one with a right hand. His head hit the wall. Down he went. The others just stood there for a second and that was their mistake. On a mission for God and country, I laid into them as US Marine.

These other black punks came to the door and said, “Hey, man. It’s your pod now. It’s your pod.”
“Now hear this,” I said. “Attention on deck, you jokers. If the Army and Navy ever look on heaven’s scenes, they will find the streets are guarded by United States Marines.”

Now they think I am going to run the place, but I am not going to lower myself to their standards. I am not a hero. Those men and women out there working and taking care of their families and serving God are the real heroes.

Each one teach one.
Strength and honour.
Steel embrace.

diy henna tattoo with eyeliner | Federal court strikes down gang injunction used by police

,

diy henna tattoo with eyeliner

SAN FRANCISCO — A federal appeals court on Tuesday struck a blow against widely used gang injunctions, ruling that a sweeping Orange County ban cannot be applied to dozens of people because it gave them no way to challenge claims that they were gang members.

The 9th U.S Circuit Court of Appeals said the 2009 injunction granted by a state court against alleged
members or associates of the Orange Varrio Cypress gang was extraordinarily broad, impinging on constitutional liberties and everyday activities, and that there was a "considerable" risk of error in identifying alleged gang members.

"The OCDA and other law enforcement agencies can no longer go behind closed doors and unilaterally decide who is a gang member," said Belinda Escobosa Helzer, director of the Orange County office of the American Civil Liberties Union of Southern California, which filed a lawsuit over the injunction.

A call to the county district attorneys office was not immediately returned after hours Tuesday.

Gang injunctions have been used in California since at least 1987 to curb street gang activities by obtaining public nuisance injunctions that prevent reputed gang members from various activities in their gang territories, ranging from drug-dealing and shootings to simply gathering together.

The use of gang injunctions has proliferated across the nation and even overseas.

Advocates argue that the injunctions have reduced gang crime while opponents say they cast too wide a net and unfairly brand young men as gang members without due process.

As with many other orders, the Orange County injunction barred suspected members of the gang from associating in public, wearing gang clothing or being out late at night within an area of Orange that was deemed the gangs territory.

In its ruling, the appellate court said the injunction "profoundly implicates" and interferes with liberties such as the rights of free movement, association and speech. It noted that the injunction was permanent and its prohibitions had no exceptions for those named to attend religious services, take part in political demonstrations, or even associate with some family members at parks, libraries or churches within certain areas.

It cited the lower courts finding that in one case, the mother of two brothers had to decide whether they could visit their grandfather in a hospital after he had a stroke.

The appellate courts ruling, however, honed in on a unique issue in the Orange County case: Prosecutors dismissed 62 people from the injunction after they challenged their inclusion in the temporary injunction.
However, those people were nonetheless named in the permanent injunction.

The appellate court agreed with a portion of the lower court ruling that barred enforcement of the injunction against the people who had been dismissed from the temporary injunction.

"Todays ruling recognizes that determining who is and isnt a gang member isnt always easy, and police and prosecutors can get it wrong. Thats why the Constitution doesnt leave it up to the whim of the government, but gives someone accused of being a gang member the right to be heard before his or her basic freedoms are restricted," said Joseph Ybarra, partner with the law firm of Munger Tolles & Olson LLP, which took part in the suit.

diy tattoo ring | Question Time

,

diy tattoo ring

I thank Jaideep in India for these questions:

Please share some of the best memories of your childhood?

Going for walks with my dad in the English countryside. I’d climb trees, investigate ponds and be amazed by the sight of fish, frogs and toads. I’d be horrified by leeches.

Tell me about your education?

As a teenager, I was equally interested in the stock market and computer programming. That’s why at college I did A level mathematics, physics and economics. I hedged my bets, so that my career could go in either direction. In the end, my interest in the stock market won out. At Liverpool University, I earned a degree in business studies.

What career did you plan during your education days?

Living in a small chemical-manufacturing town, I dreamt of making a fortune in the stock market and living in America, where everything seemed to be so much bigger than what I was used to: the roads, houses, cars…

What languages can you speak and write?

A little Spanish. A tiny amount of Chinese, as I studied Mandarin in prison.

What is your biggest source of inspiration in life?

On the road of life, I met many great people who have inspired me. They range from my family to certain prisoners, some of whom had committed serious crimes, but who protected me out of the blue when I was in danger. For example, Two Tonys, an Italian Mafia associate serving 112 years for killing rival gangsters. He protected me and also introduced me to his favourite book: One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich, a novel by Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn. The book taught me to appreciate the small things in life, so that I don’t go looking for excitement in the wrong places, which I detail in this video:

Incarcerated, I read over 1000 books in just under six years, including many original texts in psychology and philosophy. I was inspired by great philosophers such as Plato and Marcus Aurelius. Meditations by Aurelius mentions standing strong even when life is throwing its worst at us, which is particularly inspirational for prisoners.
Marcus Aurelius — Be like the cliff against which the waves continually break; but it stands firm and tames the fury of the water around it.
I used this quote at the beginning of my book Prison Time.

easy diy tattoo gun | Pumping Up by Teen Boys Tied to Drugs Booze

,

easy diy tattoo gun

Adolescent boys with an intense interest in building muscle were more likely than their peers to start binge drinking and using drugs, a large prospective study showed.

Boys ages 12 to 18 with a high concerned about muscularity and who used muscle- or strength-enhancing products were more than twice as likely as their peers to use drugs such as cocaine, crack, ecstasy, or methamphetamines (OR 2.16, 95% CI 1.49-3.11), according to a study published online in JAMA Pediatrics.

Similar drug-taking behavior was found for boys in that age group who were focused on thinness as well as muscularity (OR 2.13, 95% CI 1.31-3.46), reported Alison E. Field, ScD, of Boston Childrens Hospital, and colleagues.

In addition, males concerned with their muscles who used potentially unhealthy products such as steroids to beef up their physique were more likely to binge drink compared with their peers (OR 2.06, 95% CI 1.58-2.69).

But there was no association with binge drinking or drug use for those with a focus primarily on being thin or those with eating disorders.

By the time the boys entered adulthood, there were significantly more of them who were extremely focused on weight and physique compared with those who developed eating disorders (17.2% versus 2.9%).

The concern with muscularity and use of potentially unhealthy substances to achieve a desired physique "may represent the male equivalent of purging disorder," Field and colleagues said.

They noted that this large group has been understudied in research and may be entirely missed by healthcare providers because they are not captured by the DSM-IV or the DSM-5 diagnostic criteria for eating disorders.

The results of the current study suggest that the focus in this age group should not be on aberrant eating behaviors but on the cognitive sympt0ms, "namely undue influence of weight and physique on self-evaluation."

Little is known about the prevalence of concerns about physique and eating disorders among boys because most of the research has been conducted among girls, researchers noted.

They therefore analyzed data on 5,527 boys who were 12 to 18 years old in 1999 and followed until 2011.

The boys were part of the Growing Up Today Study, which was begun in 1996 and included children of women participating in the Nurses Health Study II.

The mean age was 15, mean BMI 21, and more than 90% were white and of mid to high socioeconomic status.

Overall, the researchers found:
  • 9.2% of the boys reported high concern with muscularity
  • 2.4% reported high concern about muscularity and the use of supplements, growth hormones, or steroids to enhance their physique
  • 2.5% had high concern about thinness
  • 6.3% reported high concern about thinness and muscularity

When the researchers adjusted for age, all four of the above weight and physique categories were associated with an increased risk of becoming obese. But when they adjusted for BMI and dieting frequency, males with high concerns about thinness but not muscularity were more likely to become obese (OR 3.21, 95% CI 1.44-7.13).

Also, the focus on thinness but not muscularity was associated with depression (OR 2.72, 95% CI 1.36-5.44). There was a suggestion of a risk of depression for boys and adolescents who engaged in infrequent bulimic behaviors or overeating (OR 1.28, 95% CI 0.99-1.67).

Until the DSM-5 criteria are revised to better capture this group of boys and adolescents, healthcare providers need to be made aware of this potentially vulnerable group, the researchers concluded.

The study is limited because of the fairly homogeneous cohort, the use of self-reported questionnaires, and no data on whether the boys were involved with sports.

diy inner lip tattoo | Emails

,

diy inner lip tattoo

Its always great to receive an email from a student who saw my talk years ago such as this one:

Hey Shaun,
When I was 13 years old, you came to my school and gave your talk on your time in the US prison system, I am 16 years old now and in my first year of college and I feel I should thank you for helping me to realise the reality of life in jail. I didnt realise it at the time but what you said really helped me sympathise with people suffering from poor prison conditions.
Recently Ive been following your youtube channel and learning about your activism on drugs and how they effect people, additionally how you feel the way we look at drugs in the world today. And I think the work you are doing is absolutely invaluable and you really do inspire me (I know its a generic compliment) in a way I never thought you would. Not only because of your activism but how a person can take such a terrible experience and make it into something positive.
I know this has been a very short email but I felt like I had to send this just to thank you for opening my eyes.
Thank you for taking the time out of your day to read this
Ps. My school was called Kingsbook/The Elizabeth Woodville School

I also received an email from someone who has been suffering with addiction issues for ten years:

Hey Shaun,
Just read prison time and hard time! Fantastic books mate well done! Im trying to think of why Ive decided to mail u. I guess a lot of what u wrote in your books struck a chord with me, the wolves the partying the feelings of complete anxiety and the need to go out!! Been taking coke and pills for the last 10 years and Im at a crossroads now! Your books have given me the nudge I need to seek help with my addictions and that its ok to feel inner turmoil and address the situation. Youve obviously been through so much and Im just sitting here self loathing at how lifes turned out when theres nothing coming over me compared to what youve been through! Wimped out of the last 2 AA meetings I was gonna go to but Im definitely going to the next one (well hopefully ill find the courage).
Anyway thanks man, I think youve started me on the rite path and by reading your books I think you would like to know if you have made a little difference to someone somewhere.

diy non permanent tattoo

Its now declassified that the CIA was one of the biggest importers of cocaine into America in the 1980s that spawned the crack epidemic. The federal government under Regan and Bush Sr raised prison sentences for drugs while shipping the drugs in to finance a war in Nicaragua. The journalist who exposed this Gary Webb was labelled a conspiracy theorist and murdered - all in the movie, Kill the Messenger.
