Would you believe a guard read about me at Jon’s Jail Journal! The guard turned the other way while I dealt with the guys who were out to hurt me. I went right in and hit the smallest one with a right hand. His head hit the wall. Down he went. The others just stood there for a second and that was their mistake. On a mission for God and country, I laid into them as US Marine.
These other black punks came to the door and said, “Hey, man. It’s your pod now. It’s your pod.”
“Now hear this,” I said. “Attention on deck, you jokers. If the Army and Navy ever look on heaven’s scenes, they will find the streets are guarded by United States Marines.”
Now they think I am going to run the place, but I am not going to lower myself to their standards. I am not a hero. Those men and women out there working and taking care of their families and serving God are the real heroes.
Each one teach one.

There’s a guy in here called Ted, who got himself some crystal meth, and, man, is that stuff poison. He was walking around with his jaw going from side to side, and when he did sit, he couldn’t keep his legs still.
“Why are you doing that stuff?” I asked Ted.
“I have nothing else to do,” he said.
“You have a fleshly mind-set,” I said. “I know because I’ve been there.”
Ted wanted to buy pain medication to snort. He sent a youngster to sick call to try to obtain some. The youngster managed to get the meds, but kept them to himself.
“T-Bone, I need your help with the youngster,” Ted said. He had seen me stand up for the weaker guys who were trying to change.
“Duh,” I said.
“Everyone is ripping me off,” Ted said.
“Stop.”
“Stop what?”
“Doing dope, you dummy. If you make the effort to change, God will take care of the rest.”
He didn’t listen. Some guys went into his cell and beat Ted up and took his dope.

Things have been on edge for some time now because of the racist attitudes a lot of these guys have here. Apparently the “fellas,” the guys who are in charge, who call the shots for the Mexicans and the whites, said that none of their race can live with a black man. The Mexicans and the whites will back each other up on this rule and will even riot over it.
They moved a Native American guy in with me and all hell almost broke out because I am black. I said, “Why are you guys tripping? Why do you act like black people have an incurable disease or something?”
The Native American guy moved out and the guards moved a white guy in and the same thing happened. I couldn’t care less what colour a person is.
The next thing that happened was a butt bandit came up to me and said that a gay white boy in our pod is his, and that I need to mind my own business if he wants to take him in the shower.
I said I couldn’t care less what he did with his own body and all I can do is tell him the truth about things.
So the gay kid went into the shower with him, and there were three other guys wanting their turn. I was in my cell, reading, when someone yelled T-bone. I walked out and looked towards where the yell came from.
The butt bandit and his friends saw me and stopped. The gay kid came by my cell and said thank you, before rolling out of the pod.
It’s a huge misconception in here that gay people want to be harmed and/or gang raped because they are gay.
After we came off lockdown, I talked to those guys. It simply came down to them not having the spirit of self-control.
One of them came up to me and tried to take advantage of the fact that I am a Christian. He started yelling at me, saying that I owed him this and that and he got up in my face. I didn’t owe that guy anything at all. He was trying to play me with the old game of testing me. He made a move like he was going to hit me and down he went. I know I have a long way to go. A looooooong way to go. Self-control!

Emerging drug trends New drugs and drug use trends often burst on the scene rapidly. NIDA’s has a group of specialists called the Community Epidemiology Work Group (CEWG)from major metropolitan areas and some states across the United States that reports data on emerging trends and patterns in drug use. Here are some of the trends that they have identified as of January 2014.
e-Cigarettes
E-cigarettes are increasingly popular battery-operated devices marketed as a safer alternative to smoking conventional cigarettes. They produce flavored nicotine aerosol that looks and feels like tobacco smoke but without the tar or other chemicals produced by burning tobacco leaves. However, while e-cigarettes do not produce tobacco smoke, it is still unclear how safe they are. They still deliver nicotine, which is a highly addictive drug. Also, vapor from some e-cigarette products has been found to contain known carcinogens and toxic chemicals. Until more studies are conducted, there is no way of knowing what the health consequences of repeated exposure to these chemicals may be, whether e-cigarettes are any safer than conventional cigarettes, or if they are useful to help a person quit
“Krokodil”
““Krokodil,” a toxic homemade opioid that has been used as a cheap heroin substitute in poor rural areas of Russia, has recently been featured in news reports alleging its appearance in parts of the United States. The CEWG is investigating, although the DEA has not yet confirmed any Krokokil in this country.
Krokodil is a synthetic form of a heroin-like drug called desomorphine that is made by combining codeine tablets with various toxic chemicals including lighter fluid and industrial cleaners. Desomorphine has a similar effect to heroin in the brain, although it is more powerful and has a shorter duration. Krokodil gets its name from the scaly, gray-green dead skin that forms at the site of an injection. The flesh destroyed by krokodil becomes gangrenous, and, in some cases, limb amputation has been necessary to save a user’s life.
We will update this page with any further information on Krokodil in the U.S., if cases are found.
“N-bomb”
“N-bomb” refers to any of three closely related synthetic hallucinogens (25I-NBOMe, 25C-NBOMe, and 25B-NBOMe) that are being sold as legal substitutes for LSD or mescaline. Also called “legal acid,” “smiles,” or “25I,” they are generally found as powders, liquids, soaked into blotter paper (like LSD) or laced on something edible.
These chemicals act on serotonin receptors in the brain, like other hallucinogens, but they are considerably more powerful even than LSD. Extremely small amounts can cause seizures, heart attack or arrested breathing, and death. At least 19 young people are reported to have died after taking 25I- 25C- or 25B-NBOMe between March 2012 and August 2013. “Syrup,” “Purple Drank,” “Sizzurp,” “Lean”
Drinking prescription-strength cough syrup containing codeine and promethazine mixed with soda was referenced frequently in some popular music beginning in the late 90s and has now become increasingly popular among youth in several areas of the country, according to recent CEWG data. Codeine is an opioid that can produce relaxation and euphoria when consumed in sufficient quantities. Promethazine is an antihistamine that also acts as a sedative. Users may also flavor the mixture with the addition of hard candies.
Codeine and other opioids present a high risk of fatal overdose due to their effect of depressing the central nervous system, which can slow or stop the heart and lungs. Mixing with alcohol greatly increases this risk. Deaths from prescription opioid medications now outnumber overdose deaths from all other drugs (including cocaine and heroin), and codeine-promethazine cough syrup has been linked to the overdose deaths of some prominent musicians.smoking.
